Ways You Can Volunteer

Peer support

Peer support volunteers are people with lived experience who feel ready to support others affected by crime. This role is about being a steady, understanding presence – listening, offering reassurance, and helping victims feel less alone as they navigate what comes next.

Peer support may include talking with victims by phone, attending court alongside them for support, or being there at difficult moments when extra reassurance is needed. Peer support volunteers do not provide counselling or legal advice.

All peer support volunteers receive training, clear role boundaries and ongoing support from our team. We understand that everyone’s recovery journey is different, and this role may not be right for everyone – participation is always a choice, and the level of involvement is guided by what feels manageable for you.

Event support

Event volunteers help us raise funds that make our services possible. This may include assisting at fundraising events, selling raffle tickets, helping with set-up or pack-down, or supporting event logistics on the day.

Event roles are flexible and often suit people who want to contribute occasionally or in a practical, hands-on way.

What to Expect

All volunteers are supported to contribute in a way that is safe, respectful and sustainable.
