Support Our Work

Community fundraising plays an important role in helping us support victims of crime, and there are many ways you can get involved – from simple online fundraising to small workplace or community initiatives.

This page relates to fundraising activities organised by supporters. Voice for Victims Foundation also runs its own fundraising events throughout the year, which are promoted separately on our website and social media channels.

Fundraising ideas

People can fundraise for Voice for Victims Foundation in many different ways – you’re only limited by your creativity. Some ideas include:

  • Asking for donations instead of gifts for a birthday or celebration.
  • Hosting a morning tea, dress up or dress down day, or other workplace fundraiser.
  • Setting a personal challenge and inviting friends and family to support you online by creating a fundraising page through our website (for example, a sky dive, climbing the Glass House Mountains, a long walk or ride, or giving up something meaningful for a period of time).
  • Organising a community walk, run or similar activity.
  • Holding a raffle or small community event such as a trivia night or lunch.

These fundraisers are organised and run by supporters, with guidance from our team. While we’re a small organisation, we’ll do what we can to support your efforts – including helping you set up an online fundraising page and providing advice along the way.

Fundraising Guidelines

Fundraising activities must comply with relevant Queensland laws and regulations. This includes requirements relating to raffles, gaming, public fundraising and the handling of funds.

Fundraisers organised by individuals or groups are not run by Voice for Victims Foundation. We ask that all fundraising activities:

  • Are conducted honestly and transparently.
  • Do not involve unsafe or high-risk activities.
  • Do not use our name or logo without approval.
  • Comply with applicable laws and permit requirements.
  • Ensure funds raised are clearly identified as supporting Voice for Victims Foundation.

We reserve the right to approve or decline fundraising proposals to ensure activities align with our values and obligations.
